Re-Building Our Sexual Wellness after Pregnancy Loss/Birth Loss/Infertility

*This seminar is for people who have experienced a pregnancy loss (miscarriage) or birth loss through their own body (whether you identify as a cis-woman, trans, Two-Spirit, gender-diverse, non-binary). This seminar is also for the female partner experiencing infertility. Partners will not be able to join for this seminar.

Experiencing a pregnancy loss (miscarriage), birth loss and/or infertility are incredibly heartbreaking events. It can take a toll on many areas of our life, including our sexual health. Yet there is very little information or support when it comes to re-building our sexual wellness after loss/infertility. Many of us experience isolation, stigma and shame.

In this seminar, we will explore the impacts of loss/infertility on our sexual selves and sexual relationships. We will look at the importance of creating a safe-enough container for us to re-claim our bodies, in our own time, when we are ready. We will look at gentle ways to resume pleasure in our bodies, starting first with ourselves. We will explore tools for navigating through trauma triggers. Tips for resuming partner sex will be provided, when we are ready for that. Suggestions for take-away somatic exercises to get more in touch with our sexual needs will be provided, along with ideas generated from our group discussions. Join together to know that you are not alone.

** This workshop will provide information, tools, and resources. It is not meant to replace the advice of your physician/health care team or replace the need for counselling support in working through grief and trauma.

Please arrive on time as doors will be locked at 7:35pm

*We require a minimum of 6 guests to proceed with this seminar. If we do not reach that attendance level your payment will be refunded & you will be notified of the seminars cancellation.
